Gingerbread Waffles - a2 Milk™

Gingerbread Waffles

If you love gingerbread and you love waffles then we’ve got the perfect new morning tradition for you. You do need a waffle maker for this one.

Gingerbread waffles are a real treat; they smell and taste of warm home comforts and they bring a little mouthful of happiness with each bite. Ours is, of course, made with a2 Milk™ so the whole family can enjoy gingerbread waffles that are naturally free from the A1 protein.

Serving: 8

  • 425ml of a2 Milk™
  • 125g dairy free butter melted
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 5 tbsp molasses
  • 325g buckwheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder gluten free
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 5 tsp nutmeg

  • Whisk together milk, butter and eggs and molasses and set aside.
  • Mix together the flours and spices in a large bowl and make a hole in the centre.
  • Slowly whisk the milk mixture into the flour to make a batter and don’t worry if there are some lumps.
  • Cook the waffles according to your waffles maker instructions until all the waffle batter is finished and set aside somewhere warm.
  • Serve the waffles topped with fruit.
